Museums are used as a space for exchanging opinions, experiences, ideas and knowledge. They help us to understand and negotiate the complex world around us, encouraging us to reflect on contemporary challenges such as discrimination, poverty and climate change.
Museums use their research and collections to challenge assumptions, foster debate, and motivate people to contribute to positive change in the world. They are not neutral spaces.
Inspiring learning and creativity for children and adults, museums work actively to ensure that a broad and diverse audience can access these opportunities at any stage in life.
