Important information about course updates

Over the next few months we are updating our existing courses and restructuring the content. This will result in more streamlined courses, with optional exercises, while retaining the same competency level.

Please note that this will mean there will be periods of time where an existing course will be unavailable for up to two weeks, and when they are republished the content will look and be different in some cases.

We will contact any learners who have started but not completed a course before it is due to be refreshed to allow you the opportunity to complete the course ahead of the changes if you wish.

Our Museum Essentials online learning programme will build your confidence and competence in key areas of museum practice.

The courses are free and available to all individual members of the Museums Association. Through a combination of content and exercises, you can complete each course at your own pace, at a time and place that suits you.
