A Blüthner grand piano, manufactured in 1913. Serial Number 90706. 990 mm (H)1460 mm (W)1727 mm. (NT 1227345) Stool not included.
As a large 6’3’’ grand with a cylindrical White Birch sound board and Walnut string-hammers, the piano is typical of Blüthner’s output at the time. Its housing is covered with a very fine satin-wood veneer with additional marquetry details on the lid and sheet-music stand. Given its size, it was likely used privately as a practice piano and for small at home concerts.
