Careers Week 2024

Celebrate with us from 4-9 March

National Careers Week is an annual event where we take a closer look at the questions, discussions and decisions associated with our careers as employees, freelancers and volunteers.

We are committed to supporting our members and the sector as a whole to develop a career plan that delivers what career success looks like for them.

Through our professional development programmes you can find opportunities to reflect, stretch and grow.

Our Competency Framework supports all our programmes and can be a great starting point to identify the type of work or professional development activities you may be interested in.

You can look at the competency statements and reflect on the extent to which you demonstrate the outlined skills and behaviours, helping you to identify opportunities for development.

Content across our website, Museums Journal and events programming will also support your development.
