Why did you apply to the Members Support Fund?

I applied to the Members Support Fund to support my AMA. There are lots of amazing training opportunities available which would support my CPD plan. Applying to the Members Support Fund meant that I could participate in training which cost money.

How did you spend the money?

I used the grant to attend the Creating Sustainable Community Partnerships training course by GEM (Group for Education in Museums).

What did you learn?

I learnt new ways to build back my institution’s community partnerships and programme after the pandemic. I heard several interesting speakers who all had different approaches which I can apply to my own practice.

How have you applied your learning?

Attending the course meant that when my institution began its reopening plans after Covid-19, I was able to apply what I learnt to enable us to build back our community participation stronger than it was before the pandemic.
