Summary

Museums have a legal and ethical duty of care for their workforce and all those who work in and with museums.

The Sticks and Stones research has shown that bullying is a reality in the sector for many and the way the sector has responded to bullying and bullying behaviour must be improved.

On behalf of those who gave their voice to this research and who shared their experiences of bullying and the associated impacts it has had and continues to have on their lives, we must all commit to addressing these experiences and integrate the recommendations in our professional and organisational practice.

We must ask ourselves if not now, then when?
