Chinese Super League’s costly Covid-19 measures pay off

Covid-19 containment measures for the Chinese Super League this season pushed running costs for the competition to a record $30m (€25m). The investment paid off as the league season ended last week with several thousand fans watching in the stadium, and millions more on television, as Jiangsu Suning claimed a historic first title in a final against Guangzhou Evergrande.
